Kari Snyder is the Executive Director for the Southeast Community Development Corporation, a 45-year-old organization dedicated to growing and supporting a thriving, socioeconomically and racially diverse Southeast Baltimore. Kari joined the Southeast CDC in 2009 to manage the organization’s Healthy Neighborhood program. Since, she has expanded the organization’s neighborhoods revitalization strategy, established the organization’s community school strategy and led the organization’s 2018 strategic planning process.
Kari is also a founding member of the Southeast Youth Collaborative and established this network of non-profit organizations that formed to increase employment opportunities for older youth in three Southeast Baltimore zip codes.
Before joining the Southeast CDC, Kari worked for Healthy Neighborhoods, Inc., a partnership of community-based organizations, foundations, banks and city government that helps stable but undervalued neighborhoods increase home values, market their communities, create high standards for property improvements and increase social capital among neighbors.
Kari is a graduate of University of Maryland, College Park with degrees in business and journalism.
